If you're looking for a special gift for a friend don't miss the Garden Trellis Gift Shop. Items include handcrafts from local artists, bonsai tools, gardening and natural history books, garden tools, garden ornaments, stationery, household decorative items, jewelry, and special gifts for children.

Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday from Noon to 5 p.m.

Nature Reflected: An Introduction to Bonsai

A production of UNC-TV and the North Carolina Arboretum

Bonsai Curator Arthur Joura guides you through a comprehensive look at the art of Bonsai. Program one is an introduction to bonsai and establishes how it can be a reflection of nature on a small scale. Program two explains how to choose plants. Program three details tools needed and demonstrates pruning techniques. Program four discusses care and maintenance for proper health of the bonsai.
