Rhododendron Truss Show and Sale
Features Favorite Mountain Plants
The American Rhododendron Society’s Southeastern Chapter will host its annual show at The North Carolina Arboretum on Saturday, April 26 and Sunday, April 27, 2008, from noon to 5 p.m. both days. Hundreds of blooms will be displayed at the Education Center during the show, including many favorite mountain plants. Azaleas as well as spring and summer blooming rhododendrons are among the most popular.

Regional nurserymen will be stationed at the Arboretum selling unusual rhododendron and companion plants.·
Don Johnson, president of the SE Chapter of the American Rhododendron Society will give a presentation called “Introduction to Growing Rhododendrons” at 1 p.m. on Saturday.·
Knowledgeable volunteers will lead guided walks to the National Native Azalea Repository along Bent Creek. Saturday walk times are 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Sunday walk times are 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
