Volunteer Information

Contributions made by volunteers in ALL areas enrich the visitor experience at The North Carolina Arboretum.  Volunteers can choose work either inside or outside doing a variety of jobs.  These jobs include working in the gardens and on the trails, greeting visitors at the information desks, working in the greenhouse, and guiding public garden tours. The volunteer corps is active and offers the opportunity to meet people with varied skills and interests.  Our volunteers are considered unpaid professionals in their fields.

Arboretum guidelines require volunteers to be age 16 or over.  Click here to download a volunteer application.

For more information about opportunities for volunteers, please contact Lynne Garrison at 665-2492, Ext. 219, or e-mail lgarrison@ncarboretum.orgWe appreciate your interest in our volunteer program!
