It is the mission of The North Carolina Arboretum Public Safety Department to ensure that all persons may participate at the Arboretum in a safe and peaceful manner and receive support, aid and protection in times of need. These duties will be performed in an efficient, honest and professional manner, while setting a standard of exemplary conduct. The primary objective of the department is the protection of life and property, the prevention and detection of crime, and the protection of natural resources. For your safety, The North Carolina Arboretum has installed 6 call-boxes located throughout the property. Please do not hesitate to use these if you need assistance from the Public Safety Department. For call-box locations, see the property map at the kiosk in the recreational parking area. (The recreational parking area is located to the left just past the gatehouse.)
