Campus Police

The North Carolina Arboretum's Campus Police Department's mission is to ensure all persons may participate at the Arboretum in a safe and peaceful manner and receive support, aid and protection in times of need. These duties will be performed in an efficient, honest and professional manner, while setting a standard of exemplary conduct.

The department's primary objective is the protection of life and property, the prevention and detection of crime, and the protection of natural resources.

For your safety, The North Carolina Arboretum has installed six call-boxes throughout the property. Please do not hesitate to use these if you need assistance from the Campus Police Department. For call-box locations, see the property map at the kiosk in the recreational parking area (located to the left, just past the Gatehouse).

Property maps are also available at the Gatehouse, Baker Exhibit Center, Education Center and the Production Greenhouse.

If you have questions, comments or concerns, please contact Chief of Campus Police, Emily West, at 828.665.2492, Ext. 273 or after hours at 828-231-0834.
