Become an Ambassador to the NC Arboretum!
Do you have an interest in incorporating more outdoor lessons in your curriculum? The North Carolina Arboretum is seeking local teachers to serve as Arboretum Ambassadors. Ambassadorships are open to one teacher per school, and serve as a liaison in setting up field trips, hosting Arboretum Educators at your school, learning how to lead free self-guided lessons at the Arboretum, and borrowing program materials to use in your classroom and schoolyard. In addition, Arboretum Ambassadors receive:
- A professional membership to the Arboretum (good for free parking, exhibit admission, discounts at the cafe, shops and classes, and mailings);
- A free "Adventure, Exploration, Awareness" Arboretum t-shirt;
- A visit to your school by Arboretum Educators to assess the educational resources at your schoolyard; and
- Exclusive program updates on K-12 education programs and exhibits.
Contact Jonathan Marchal at jmarchal@ncarboretum.org or (828) 665-2492 ext. 228 to be included in this unique and exciting opportunity. Space is limited!
