Scout Classes
The North Carolina Arboretum offers engaging Girl Scout and Boy Scout classes to help youths earn activity and merit badges. Program fees include all materials and parking fees. Self-led Scouting Outings at the Arboretum
Scout leaders may bring scouts to visit the Arboretum, see our Nature Discovery Room, hike trails and stroll through the gardens with a waived parking fee when calling one week prior. Please have the following information on hand: Number of Scouts, Number of Leaders, Date of Visit (along with a second choice, in case there is high demand), Time of Visit, and a description of your activity. Please keep in mind that only educational scouting visits qualify, and this opportunity to visit free of the parking fee is only available from September through May. Contact Lauren Pyle at lpyle@ncarboretum.org to make your reservation. Requests made less than one week prior will not qualify for free parking.
