Plant Professional Landscape Garden
The Plant Professional Landscape Garden is a two-acre site located at The North Carolina Arboretum to serve the needs of individuals in Western North Carolina as well as adjacent states. The garden is designed to include more than 250 specimen ornamental plants from the Certified Plant Professional exam as well as areas for the training/testing modules from the Certified Landscape Technician exam.
The primary GOAL of the Plant Professional Landscape Garden is to provide a study, training, and testing site for both the Certified Plant Professional and the Certified Landscape Technician programs. Each of these exams are administered and promoted by the NCAN and NCLA respectively.
The following organizations have entered into the partnership to design, install and maintain a Plant Professional Landscape Garden:
- The North Carolina Arboretum
- The North Carolina Arboretum Society
- The North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service
- The North Carolina Nursery and Landscape Association
This collaboration promotes the professional growth and development of the Green Industry staff and elevates the standards of horticulture practices in Western North Carolina.
