Society members are involved in all aspects of the Arboretum's programs from contributing funds, to serving in leadership positions on the Board of Directors, to volunteering their services.
Members also attend special events, explore our trails, visit the gardens and take education programs.
Membership benefits
In appreciation for their support, Members receive special benefits such as free parking, discounts, special mailings, a monthly e-newsletter and reciprocal privileges with more than 270 American Horticultural Society gardens nationwide.
How your membership benefits the Arboretum
Private donations made to The North Carolina Arboretum Society through the membership program support and enhance horticultural and educational programming not covered by state funding of general operations. In addition to contributing to membership, you can also support the Arboretum’s Annual Fund.

In addition to our basic level memberships, the Arboretum also offers Supporting and Sustaining membership levels for the individuals who want to provide additional support for the Arboretum.

Please contact Member Services if you would like to upgrade your membership during the year allowing all household members to receive additional membership benefits for the remainder of the year.
