A Glide Through Nature - Segway Tours
The Glide Through Nature Program has finished for the season.
The 2010 season will begin in mid-March, 2010.
Tour Availability and Tour Reservations: You can check dates and space availability through our online reservations system ~ and book your tour! Spring 2010 tour dates will be added soon. Look for our weather policies and more FAQ's here as well.
Key facts to know:
Tours leave daily from the Baker Exhibit Center. Tours begin at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 1 p.m. on Sunday.
Pricing: $55 per person. Arboretum Society Members receive 10% off upon proof of membership. Arboretum parking fee is additional.
What to wear/bring for an enjoyable experience:
• Comfortable, sturdy shoes with closed toes
• Seasonally-appropriate clothing, in layers
• Drinking water
• Sunscreen
• Camera
Restrictions. Tour participants:
• Under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian
• Must be 14 years of age and older
• Capable of climbing a short flight of stairs unassisted
• Weigh between 80 and 250 pounds
Note that tour participants will be standing/balancing on the Segway machine platform for up to three hours, with numerous opportunities to step off the machine and tour points of interest.
