Annual Rhododendron Show, May 1 & May 2

Rhododendron Show, by Michael Oppenheim

The North Carolina Arboretum celebrates 25 years as a natural treasure that helps people cultivate connections with plants, and is pleased to host the popular American Rhododendron Society, SE Chapter Annual Show on May 1 and May 2.

The show features hundreds of blooms, education classes, plant and supply vendors, and Rhododendron Society members to answer questions and provide growing advice.

Spring and summer blooming rhododendrons and azaleas are favorites of the weekend, and visitors are encouraged to enjoy a short hike to explore the Arboretum’s National Native Azalea Collection during the show.

The show, which runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both days, is free with the parking fee. Parking is always free for Arboretum Society members.
