ONSITE | Wednesday, February 28, 1 – 4 p.m.

Wrens are common but secretive little birds that nest in a variety of recessed holes and cavities. They are usually easily attracted to properly-designed handmade nesting boxes. Learn all about the variety of wren species that call Western North Carolina home. In the second part of the class, participants will build a customizable rustic wooden wren house designed to be cleaned  easily and one that can be well placed in a landscape to attract these little birds with big personalities and tuneful songs. All supplies are included along with tips on proper placement provided by instructor Carlton Burke.
