On display January 12 through April 14, 2019, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, this mixed media exhibit features the work of Terry Ashley, Karen-Eve Bayne, Lucy Clark and Judy Smith and showcases 2- and 3-D artwork made from fabrics, photography and pottery. Each piece is created with its own unique voice and showcases how artists collaborate through the cross-pollination of ideas and a passion for nature.

Many pieces are drawn from photos taken at the Arboretum and contain botanical themes that incorporate layered photographs on cloth and customized cellular fabrics. Pottery includes organic, coil built ceramic pieces and wall sculptures. All pieces are available for purchase and a portion of the sales will be donated to The North Carolina Arboretum Society.

Please Note: Cross-Pollination will be temporarily closed, April 1 – 4, and will re-open in the upstairs gallery of the Education Center on Friday, April 5. We apologize for the inconvenience.
