Celebrate the opening of The North Carolina Arboretum’s newest exhibit Making Scents: The Art and Passion of Fragrance with a special lecture by Dr. Richard Stamelman. Author of “Perfume: Joy, Obsession, Scandal, Sin; A Cultural History of Fragrance from 1750 to the Present,” Dr. Stamelman will explore the mysterious allure behind fragrances and the plants that are used to make them. Dr. Stamelman’s work inspired the original Making Scents exhibit and he has lent his expertise to the Arboretum as we recreated and curated the exhibit. A brief Q&A will follow the lecture.

Space is limited and registration is required. This event is free, however, donations to The North Carolina Arboretum Society are welcomed.
