Nature’s Blueprints: Biomimicry in Art and Design

The exhibition Nature’s Blueprints: Biomimicry in Art and Design brings together art and design with environmental science using artifacts, artworks and photography, as well as interactive learning stations. Open January 20 through May 12 in the Baker Exhibit Center.

Spring in the Azalea Collection

Asheville Blue Ridge Rose Society Rose Exhibit

The most spectacular exhibition of roses in Western North Carolina! Over a hundred varieties of fragrant, WNC-grown roses will be on display. Presented by the Asheville Blue Ridge Rose Society. May 25 and 26 in the Education Center.

Calling all garden lovers! Join us on Friday and Saturday, May 31 – June 1 for our annual Spring Plant Sale and Market. The Market features unique plants grown in The North Carolina Arboretum’s Production Greenhouse and includes over 30 local growers and businesses.

Bugs: Outside the Box

Where can you see a butterfly with a five foot wingspan, or a longhorn beetle with antennae more than twelve feet across? The answers can be found amongst the enormous sculptures on display in BUGS: Outside the Box! Open May 25 through September 8, 2024 in the Baker Exhibit Center.

ArborEvenings

Sip and stroll through the Arboretum’s gardens in the glow of the golden hour, while listening to live music from a variety of local and regional artists. Thursdays and most Fridays June 27 through September 26.

Only Owls

Only Owls brings together an array of artistic representations of owls in pencil, charcoal, ink, watercolor, and woodcut, all from Leigh Yawkey Woodson Museum of Art collection. Open September 21 to January 5 in the Baker Exhibit Hall.
