Learn from Home
Families and adults are invited to explore a variety of online programming to keep your minds growing and going safely in your own home or backyard.
ecoEXPLORE
Children in grades K-8 can sign up for the Arboretum’s free, online-based program, ecoEXPLORE. Participants are encouraged to go outside and find plants and animals in their backyard, take a picture of what they find and upload their observations to their secure online account where they can earn points, which can be redeemed for prizes, badges and more!
ecoEXPLORERS and their parents will also receive a free weekly e-newsletter with other at-home activities and tips to help your child explore and learn. Plus, we will post a live video from the Arboretum’s team of trained educators every weekday at 2 p.m. on Facebook.
Adult Education Programs
The Arboretum will be offering a variety of online programming to help you appreciate the beauty and diversity of the natural world from the safety of your own home. Join us every Thursday at 3 p.m. for a free online class that will introduce students to different technologies and ways to appreciate nature followed by deeper dives into subjects like botany and ecology. These are a mix of free and fee-based programs, and donations are always welcome.
